I've been lucky enough to have done this for a very long time. Worked with some great companies and even greater people. Here is a highlight of some of the places I've been and a little insight on how I got there.

End Time Printers

Where it all started…
End Times was the printing partner for Ken Blocks Circus Distribution. I was introduced to Ken at Palomar college in 1992. We printed all of 8-Ball, DROORS, DUB, and DC Shoes T-Shirts. Part of my job was to pick the color combinations for those early DROORS designs. Plan B skateboards was located around the corner and the first Type A Snowboards office was located in front office of our warehouse.

Type A Snowboards

After End Times, I was brought in at Plan B skateboards as a colorist and silkscreen separator cutting rubylith. The first board I designed there was the Colin Mckay Vancouver Canucks board and shortly after took on all the design duties. I also created many of the Type A Snowboards designs and print advertisements. I met a ton of great people during my time here and it shaped the future of my design career.

Wildstorm /
DC Comics

I was hired partly because I came to the interview on crutches with a broken ankle. "You must really must want this job!" As a production artist I used digital tools for page layout, trapping, and film separations. I used litho printers to output film and created color keys and blue line books. Wildstorm was acquired by DC Comics/Warner Bros and I became a full-time letterer. I lettered books in Adobe Illustrator as well as created custom typefaces with Fontagrapher.

Atlantis, Type A, D23, Kemper Snowboards

I was called to take over the design department at Jaypsort. They acquired Atlantis and Type A snowboards and were a fan of the earlier work I did at the original Type A. I am very proud of the products we created during this time. We were a small tight group and the products are still well regarded today. My favorites are these Type A boards. All are done with organic images ran through a copy machine I found on the side of the road.

Life AsRx

I was introduced to the world of CrossFit in 2010. AsRx was the original CrossFit apparel brand and had a very tight relationship with CFHQ. I designed many of the original AsRx apparel designs and directly with CFHQ on their limited edition marketing pieces. Our Affiliate division was the largest buyer of blank apparel on the west coast and we worked with over 3,000 Affiliates in those five years.
